This suits a sportier driving style by increasing the feedback through the steering wheel. The Sport setting is also an advantage when driving on icy and snowy road conditions. To access the test mode: Start with the car off. Hold the trip reset button down. Turn the key to the "on" position (not necessarily starting the engine). Let go when test appears on the odometer. So..I have a Focus Mk2 (2008) - It had a faulty instrument cluster (would throw an engine fault/power steering fault/reduced speed mode/etc..). If i pressed on the cluster, the faults would go away. Anyway - last week i just brought a 2nd hand cluster from eBay (there was no listed faults with it) and fitted it this weekend.
Whatever you get should also come in 3 parts. The camera. And 2 lots of wires, a 6metre video wire with a yellow plug either end, and a 1.5metre twin core red and black wire. The first step of the installation, is to remove the inner boot lid trim. This is a simple job of unscrewing these 2 screws.
