The Skoda Karoq is classified as a mid-size SUV, but don’t buy into that – this is a small SUV with big car practicality. It’s smaller than a heap of rivals that are classified as small SUVs, but somehow is supposed to compete against the Toyota RAV4 , Mitsubishi Outlander and Nissan X-Trail , at least based on sales classification data.
As with the Yeti, you can get the Karoq with both two- and four-wheel-drive but in keeping with what is more popular within the current buying community, ours is the former.Skoda makes three different SUVs ending in the letter ‘q’, the Kamiq, Karoq and Kodiaq representing small, medium and large, though the names are a little confusing. But when our Karoq arrives it definitely stands out, especially thanks to that lovely Velvet Red Metallic paint job, a £1,045 option. That specific colour, by the way, is one
The Karoq, on the other hand, has a boxier design which makes the model look a little more outdated than its rival. Skoda‘s flagship SUV does offer a slight facelift from previous models. A lower roofline has been included to try and rid the Karoq of the ‘box-like’ design, however it pales in comparison to the impressive Sportage.
