It seems jeep would have kept such a feature, I like it. In the WJ, you turn on your headlights for daytime driving but your dash lights do go super dark. Its not a common enough situation to worry a ton about it, I've lived with it this way for 7 years.
1 post · Joined 2011. #14 · Jul 19, 2011. The prob is with the multiplexer for all the buttons on the steering column. The voltage difference between on and auto is milivolts apart. When the battery is weak that multiplexer will turn your lights on and off. Had it happen a bunch on mine first time the battery was weak.

Joined Sep 28, 2015. 11 Posts. #3 · Oct 6, 2015. That's RightI just found out on my 2002 Jeep GC. There is only Vertical adjustment, No horizontal. And turning the screw to the Right, Raises the beamOn level road driving conditions. One full turn of the adjustment screw. Is noticable in driving.
Symptoms of a missing sensor or unconnected sensor would be that the. headlamps and park lamps turn on when the vehicle is started and there is a high level of ambient light present (I.E. daytime). Auto headlamps should not function in the presence of daylight.
