The wipers came on and wouldn't shut-off, half of the instrument cluster was out, no radio, no AC, etc. They checked several of the fuses to see if something had blown. They called the BMW dealer and they wanted $150 to reflash the system. The battery guys took that off the tab and I went down the street.
Eg. I'm turning right with my indicator on, if I click right again, it turns the indicator off. Saves sometimes clicking left to turn it off and it ends up indicating left! Also I have it set to 3 blinks so when I half depress the switch (ie. Not all the way down), it will blink 3 times and stop. Mainly used changing lanes. Just a quick thank you to all you contributing Bimmerfest members! My left turn signal had been displaying some severe schizophrenia as of the past few months. It would blink fast 5 times and then slow to normal speed. At 1st, it only happened during the first left signal after starting the car. 3615 posts ยท Joined 2008. #15 ยท Jul 19, 2018 (Edited) The zebra strip is pink and rubbery in the E46 cluster. The zebra pattern is inside under the pink rubber coating. Some places call it elastomeric, but, I call it zebra strip because thatโ€™s how I learned about it originally. That rubber band thing is probably is it.

I had both lights come on in my e39 and e46. In PA soft its saying its the DSC pump on my e39 and the steering angle sensor in my e46. In my e46 though a bad alignment and crooked steering wheel were triggering the lights. I got an alignment and the lights have not come back in thousands of miles. On my e39 though its more than likely the ABS

1 Answer. Sorted by: 1. There is a separate fuse and a separate relay. You'll need to check both, and I hope the relay panel is a little easier to get to than it is on the MKIII, because that's a real treat. Check the fuses first, but a fuse isn't a wear item. They shouldn't blow unless something else is wrong as well. 1. Both The Indicators Are Not Working. One of the most common problem, when one has the issue of car indicators not working in vehicles, is both the turn signals failing to work. The fix for the issue is quite simple. You have to check the bulb through the engine bay of the front and the boot of the rear. You can also do so by removing the lens. e1arXy.
